Hunter's Story

Hunter was dumped out here in the country near our home.

He and Sparki came walking up one day in December 2004 and somehow ended up in our back yard. (Kelli)

Hunter is a Big Snuggle Bunny

He acts as if I hung the moon, as if his whole existence revolves around me.

Its a great feeling, knowing that I have that much love from just one of our Babies.

Kelli wanted Hunter, she is the one that named him, She said she had always wanted a yellow lab, I thought he was a big oaf, and when our herd seemed too big, I had even thought of finding him another home.

Kelli found him a home, but I told her that since he and Sparki came up together, they would remain together, and I wasn't getting rid of Sparki.

Shortly after that, Hunter decided he wanted me as his human, and I couldn't resist.

Once I got to know him, and how loyal and loving he is, I can see why so many people want Labs.

They are an awesome breed.

Hunter's Nickname: Turd is his nickname, and it fits him well, He is very demanding when it comes to getting attention, He will sit next to me and whine until I pet him.

Hunter's Parents: Darrell and Kelli Crosby

Hunter's age: about 4 1/2 years old (as of Dec 2007)

Hunter's Favorite Food: Whatever people around him is eating and dog treats.

Hunter's Favorite Toy: Sarah is Hunter's Chew Toy, they spend hours wrestling with each other, Hunter sometimes lets Sarah get him down on the ground.

Hunter's place to sleep: on the foot of the bed, but he has to be invited up on the bed, or he will sit on the floor next to it and whine until one of us tell him to get up there.

Hunter's Place of Birth / Adoption: Unknown, He was a stray that someone had dumped out in the country.

Hunter's Character: He is very affectionate and loves to snuggle.
